![]() Dear Neighbor, Some things you can't make up, like the anger brewing in District 6 at the state of our streets. And as you can see from the Nextdoor comments posted below, our neighbors in Mira Mesa are pretty upset. The print is small in these screenshots, but the comments are worth a look. ![]() Chris Cate has had the last four years to push city bureaucracy to begin rebuilding critical arterials in District 6, which Voice of San Diego noted had the most potholes of any council district back in 2014. Now, four years later, he's hoping you won't notice he's been AWOL when it comes to rebuilding your streets. Instead, he's hoping a quick campaign of slurry sealing will do the trick to wash your memory clean. But you and I know that won't work. ![]() Chris Cate loves slurry seal, but it's a cosmetic fix, like painting a house over and over. You can paint it all you want, but if you've got termites or rot on the inside, it's not going to fix anything. We know our roads are rotting away from the city's lack of maintenance and attention, and we know Chris Cate is out of excuses for failing to bring city resources to the neighborhoods that are the economic center of the city. ![]() Join Team Tommy and help us rally our neighbors on November 6th to defeat Chris Cate and bring real leadership and results to District 6 on roads, housing, energy choice, transit, homelessness, and public safety. We need your support now more than ever. Please give $550, $250, $100, $50, or even $27 to take advantage of this once in a generation opportunity to unseat a failed councilmember who sold out his neighbors to lobbyists and developers, and elect an ethical councilmember ready to lead on all fronts. We're walking and phone banking daily. Will you make time to help? Join Team Tommy and let's make history together. ![]() We couldn't have said it better. Except it's no punchline, it's reality – and it's time for Chris Cate to go. Tell your friends and family to vote for Tommy Hough on November 6th, or as soon as your ballot arrives in the mail. Thank you for your ongoing support. Be sure to share this e-mail with your friends and family, and call if you have questions at (619) 805-6365. Neighborhoods first, Tommy Hough for City Council
